“I don’t like myself very much, so I try not to observe myself too often. I made a documentary once entitled Talking Heads. I asked people two questions: “Who are you?” and “What do you want?” Afterwards, I asked myself those questions. I realized that I didn’t have any answers. I don’t know who I am, and I don’t know what I want. If anything, I’d like some peace and quiet, but I’ve never achieved it, and I probably never will. So I will never have what I really want.”—Kieslowski (via znvmn394)
Over 5 years ago, I wrote a good 3 page letter to a friend of mine. This letter was largely made up of my in-depth ramblings about my love for Sloths. I explained that they would be perfect as pets as they only poop once a month due to their super slow metabolism (and the shock they would get after eating spicy food a month prior when it passes through). They are super calm and versatile too, so if you are going to the shops, just hang that beauty around your neck and boom, off you go - fresh air and a lovely body-warmer.
So WHAT’S THE DEAL, INTERNET? Why have Sloths suddenly come into vogue? A few videos of bathing sloths and BOOM. I have wanted a sloth more than anything for years and now that tiny teeny dream is all gone as the whole entire internet will be queuing up for one if they ever became commercially available. Well, internet, I am just going to be content with the fact that in Chicago zoo I held, nay, cuddled a 3 toed sloth and it licked me and was eating stuff so, boom! Sloth you!
“Nobody will stop you from creating. Do it tonight. Do it tomorrow. That is the way to make your soul grow — whether there is a market for it or not! The kick of creation is the act of creating, not anything that happens afterward. I would tell all of you watching this screen: Before you go to bed, write a four line poem. Make it as good as you can. Don’t show it to anybody. Put it where nobody will find it. And you will discover that you have your reward.”—Kurt Vonnegut (via dirtcrumbgoddess)
But the people I feel comfortable enough to talk to don’t seem to be there to talk and the others I just can’t open up to…. Maybe i’ll go talk to the people in the Chip shop down the road. I might get a free sausage out of it…
